Owlcat Games are enjoying well-deserved success as Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is selling like hotcakes.

CRPG fans have had a delightful series of games coming their way over the past few years and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the latest release that is captivating players all over the world. It did such a good job, in fact, that the game broke all kinds of records for Owlcat but the primary one that was announced recently was the sales milestone.

In the first two weeks since launch, Wrath of the Righteous sold over 250,000 copies sold on PC alone. Keep in mind that the game was released DRM-free so it's pretty hard to keep claiming piracy is ruining AAA sales after a crowdfunded game has a run like this.

That said, Pathfinder: WotR did several things so well that we pointed out it put the aforementioned AAA games to shame. A title that had an initial funding goal of just $300,000 managed to have a scope much greater than some of the most expensive games that are produced these days. The funding eventually ended up overshooting the initial goal with just over $2 million pledged by the fans.

It's obvious Owlcat didn't squander the money as they released a game that is massive in scale and so deep that it will offer fantastic replayability even though your first run will take more than 100 hours.
