Marvel Rivals is a new 6v6 third-person hero shooter from NetEase Games in collaboration with Disney's Marvel Games. It is a free-to-play title available across all current-generation platforms. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game launched with eight original maps based on iconic landmarks seen in Marvel movies and comics.
Since its launch in December last year, the game has evolved with a large roster of characters with seasonal additions like the Fantastic Four. With the new upcoming Season 4.5 update, Marvel Rivals players are getting a new Duelist, Daredevil. Here's a look at his abilities in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals: Daredevil 101
Let us begin with a rundown of Daredevil in Marvel Rivals. Daredevil is a melee Duelist character with the ability to take medium and short-range fights. Here's a complete overview of Daredevil's move set:
- Justice Jab (Primary Fire): Swing Billy Clubs forward. Gain Fury on hit.
- Righteous Cross (Primary Fire): Cross Billy Clubs and surge forward. Gain Fury on hit.
- Let the Devil Out: Enemies in Daredevil's line of sight take damage and suffer a ramping Blind effect. Continually gain Fury while active.
- Devil's Catch: Fire a grappling line that reels Daredevil and his target toward each other. On completion, gain Fury and temporarily enable Righteous Cross.
- Infernal Fury: Consume Fury to unleash either Devil's Chain or Devil's Throw. Devil's Chain converts damage dealt into bonus health; Devil's Throw slows hit targets. Both temporarily enable Righteous Cross.
- Sonic Pursuit: Locks onto a target, gaining increased Speed; and Damage Reduction when attacked. While in range, dash to the target, Blinding them and restoring Fury.
- Objection! (Defensive Ability): Whirl Billy Clubs in a tight guard to block frontal damage and reflect projectiles, becoming immune to all incoming harm during this stance and gaining Fury.
Daredevil will be the second character to join the hero roster in Season 4, with Angela being the first hero of this update. From the looks of his abilities, it is apparent that Daredevil will be a worthy Duelist to dominate the close-range and brawling gameplay meta of Season 4.
