Black Clover protagonist Asta is the latest character to join Bandai Namco's upcoming fighting game - Jump Force. Asta is the first arrival from the Black Clover manga and his addition brings the number of confirmed characters to 26.

Bandai Namco have officially revealed a brand new character to join their upcoming Shonen Jump crossover fighting game, Jump Force. The latest addition is Asta from fantasy manga Black Clover.

For those unfamiliar with the new fighter, Asta is an orphan raised under the care of a church in a small village, he is the wielder of the five-leaf clover grimoire, a member of Clover Kingdom's Black Bull, and a Third Class Junior Magic Knight.

Asta uses anti-magic which is a unique energy that nullifies regular old magic. He also appears in Black Asta form which is a much stronger transformation and greatly increases his strength and speed while improving his focus and additionally granting him the ability to fly.

His fighting style is built around his enhanced speed, strength, instinct and durability. Asta's primary weapons are his swords, one of them used as a primary weapon while the other is seen as a tactical advantage over enemies.

Asta's addition to Jump Force means that the number of playable characters is now at 26. Some of Bandai Namco's recent confirmed appearances include Cell and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z and Himura Kenshin and Shisho Makoto from Rurouni Kenshin.

Along with these characters, Jump Force will provide for a chance to play with Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto, Yugi Muto from Yu-Gi-Oh, Fist of the North Star's Kenshiro and Ichigo Kurasaki, Rukia Kuchiki and Sosuke Aizen from Bleach along with some original characters made specifically for the game.
