Hangar in Cayo Perico can be tricky to properly scope out and loot in GTA Online, at first at least, until you find the way to the upper cage.
With solo access to gold gone in GTA Online's most profitable heist, cocaine is once again the most valuable Cayo Perico loot so you might want to branch out your exit routes to include the airstrip since the hangar often contains the white dust. However, looting the upper floor of the hangar might be tricky until you figure out what to do.
Scoping the upper floor of the hangar is as simple as finding the ladder that is obstructed from view when you first enter it, as pictured below.

That ladder will only give you quick access to scoping the loot out but you will not be able to loot it that way, once the heist actually starts. Instead, you will need to get creative with the forklift and cargo.

You will need to enter the forklift and move the crate pictured above to a position that will allow you to climb them and get in place for looting the upper floor cage. You can check the lineup on the image below.

After you put the forklift and the crate in this position, you can just climb over and go above the beam to reach the upper cage, from the door side. Just burn through it with the cutting torch and loot the stuff inside.
