EA Sports FC 24 will be available in September on various platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X,  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC,   Steam and Nintendo Switch.

EA Sports has introduced 34 different PlayStyles in both Normal and Plus versions for their EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team mode. 

These PlayStyles are designed to showcase the unique abilities and playing styles of top football players, taking realism to new heights in the game. 

Each PlayStyle impacts gameplay, providing players with distinct capabilities that reflect their real-life counterparts.

Here's an overview of the PlayStyles and how they work:

Scoring PlayStyles

  • Power Shot: Players known for powerful shots from outside the box perform power shots faster and with increased speed (PlayStyle+) for a more authentic experience.
  • Dead Ball: Specialists in taking set pieces deliver them with increased speed, curve, and accuracy (PlayStyle+) to elevate their in-game performance.
  • Chip Shot: Players who frequently attempt to chip the goalkeeper perform chip shots faster and with greater accuracy (PlayStyle+).
  • Finesse Shot: Players known for placing the ball during shots perform finesse shots faster with additional curve and improved accuracy (PlayStyle+).

Passing PlayStyles

  • Pinged Pass: Players making defense-splitting passes for teammates see through passes, swerve passes, and precision passes improved for greater accuracy and speed (PlayStyle+).
  • Incisive Pass: Players making high-speed ground passes execute them faster without affecting the trapping difficulty of the receiver (PlayStyle+).
  • Long Ball Pass: Players known for lobbed long passes to teammates have more accurate and faster lob and lofted through passes that are more difficult to intercept (PlayStyle+).
  • Tiki Taka: Players known for accurate and short passes execute difficult first-time ground passes with high accuracy, using backheels when contextually appropriate (PlayStyle+).
  • Whipped Pass: Players known for high-speed whipped crosses into the box have all crosses highly accurate, fast, and with more curve (PlayStyle+).

Ball Control PlayStyles

  • First Touch: Players with accurate first touch control have reduced error when trapping the ball and transition to dribbling faster with greater control (PlayStyle+).
  • Flair: Players who try flamboyant moves execute fancy passes and shots with improved accuracy, performing Flair animations when contextually appropriate (PlayStyle+).
  • Press Proven: Players known for keeping ball possession under physical pressure from opponents keep close control while dribbling and shield the ball more effectively from stronger opponents (PlayStyle+).
  • Rapid: Players who use speed and knock the ball ahead of their opponents beat them while dribbling, with a reduced chance of error when sprinting or performing knock-ons (PlayStyle+).
  • Technical: Players regularly try to beat opponents with technical dribbling, reaching a higher speed when performing Controlled Sprint and performing wide turns with more precision (PlayStyle+).

Defending PlayStyles

  • Block: Players known for performing elastic and overreaching blocks have increased reach and improved ability to make successful blocks (PlayStyle+).
  • Bruiser: Players known for winning possession through physical imposition have greater strength when performing physical tackles (PlayStyle+).
  • Intercept: Players known for making interceptions and keeping ball possession have increased reach and improved chances of retaining possession when intercepting (PlayStyle+).
  • Jockey: Players known for performing skill moves in 1v1 situations reach higher sprint speeds and have improved transition speeds from jockey to sprint (PlayStyle+).
  • Slide Tackle: Players who often perform slide tackles have the ability to stop the ball directly at their feet when performing a slide tackle (PlayStyle+).
  • Anticipate: Players known for high success rates in getting ball possession on tackles with a low fouling rate have improved chances of standing tackle success and the ability to stop the ball directly at their feet when performing a standing tackle (PlayStyle+).

Physical PlayStyles

  • Acrobatic: Players known for performing acrobatic passes, clearances, and shots execute volleys with improved accuracy and access to acrobatic volley animations (PlayStyle+).
  • Aerial: Players known for passing, crossing, and shooting with the outside of the foot have passes and shots triggered contextually using the outside of the foot (PlayStyle+).
  • Relentless: Players known for covering a greater area of the field compared to others in the same position have reduced fatigue loss and increased fatigue recovery during halftime (PlayStyle+).
  • Quick Step: Players known for a quick burst of speed when accelerating on and off the ball reach higher sprint speeds during Explosive Sprint (PlayStyle+).
  • Long Throw: Players known for throwing the ball further than the average player perform throw-ins with increased power to cover a greater distance (PlayStyle+).

Goalkeeper PlayStyles

  • Far Throw: Goalkeepers can target players further away with thrown passes and have increased reach and handling closer to the end of the match (PlayStyle+).
  • Footwork: Goalkeepers perform saves with their feet more frequently and have increased reactions and speed in 1-on-1 situations (PlayStyle+).
  • Cross Claimer: Goalkeepers try to intercept crosses if they can get to them before the opponent, with increased reflexes and reactions during opposing set pieces (PlayStyle+).
  • Rush Out: Goalkeepers are more aggressive when coming out of the box to gather over-the-top balls or long through balls, with increased speed when running (PlayStyle+).
  • Far Reach: Exclusive to Be a Goalkeeper modes, goalkeepers are more effective at saving shots from outside the box with increased reach and jumping (PlayStyle+).
  • Quick Reflexes: Exclusive to Be a Goalkeeper modes, goalkeepers have increased reflexes and reactions when saving shots from inside the box (PlayStyle+).
