As you progress through the levels in ARC Raiders, you slowly unlock features like the Trials, which are in-game point-based weekly challenges that are refreshed every week. By earning three stars and points in these challenges, you can climb through the ranks to earn exclusive rewards.
Each week Embark adds a new set of challenges for players to complete and climb up their leaderboards. The Season 5 Week 2 trials are live now, and here's a comprehensive guide on how to earn 3 stars in this week's trials.
What are Trials in ARC Raiders?
Trials is the unofficial rank system in ARC Raiders, which is unlocked at player level 15. Once unlocked, players have to earn points by completing challenges every week and climb up the leaderboards. By earning stars, players can earn exclusive rewards.
The challenges are usually divided into three stages, which are marked by stars. By earning points you can get stars, and each challenge has a limit of 3 stars. For each star, players get a reward, with a total of three rewards for completing a challenge.
By earning points you can earn a position in the leaderboard of 100 players in the same rank. Getting into the top 20 of the leaderboard will earn you a 2x promotion to the next ranks. With 1x promotion allocated for the next 30 positions. The bottom 20 players of the leaderboard are demoted to the previous rank.
How to Get 3 Stars in Season 5 Week 2 Trials in ARC Raiders
Like every week, this week's trials have five challenges players must complete to climb up the leaderboard. These challenges are quite easy, but you have to follow some simple strategies to effectively finish them without wasting your important resources. Here's an in-depth guide on how to get 3 stars in Season 5 Week 2 trials in ARC Raiders:
Search Lockers
This challenge is quite straightforward, and to complete it, you need to simply search for green and red lockers in any map. The best spots for lockers are the bottom floor of Space Travel, the Research building, and the back of the third floor in Buried City. You can also find lockers spread throughout the Spaceport map.
Damage ARC using a single Deadline
While the new trial might seem like a very straightforward challenge to complete, there is a big catch here. Most players will fail to notice that the trial requires you to damage ARCs with "a single deadline mine".
The emphasis on a single Deadline means that players must use 1 Deadline mine to deal as much damage as possible on any ARC enemy or other raiders.
As most players might know, deadline mines are excellent in taking down Bastions and Bombardiers. So, for this trial you can focus on using a single deadline mine on either of these ARCs. Aside from that, you can also complete the challenge by hitting the boss ARCs (Queen and Matriarch) in their cores with a Deadline mine.
Destroy Snitches with Stitchers
This trial is quite challenging for players to complete, as the damage profile of Stitchers is very low. First call over a Snitch with a Stitcher, then aim for the three flaps to quickly bring down a Snitch.
Damage ARC using Rascal
To complete this challenge, you need to equip a Rascal. Rascal is a single-shot grenade launcher. For this trial, target the lighter ARCs like Pops, Fireballs, Wasps, and Hornets. As a single-shot weapon, avoid larger ARCs for this challenge unless you are an expert PvE player.
Open containers in the Swamp (Dam Battlegrounds)
Like every open container trial, head to the Swamp area in Dam Battlegrounds and open all containers in sight to complete this trial. You'll earn 200 points for every container you open in the Swamp area.
Getting 3 stars with decent points in trials will guarantee you a spot in the top 20 of the leaderboard. Remaining in the top 20 will also allow you to jump 2 ranks once the trials are refreshed for next week.
