If you're looking for ion sputters, then try venturing or looking into Exodus POIs of all maps in ARC Raiders. The only map with Exodus POI is Stella Montis. Here are the best locations to look for ion sputters on Stella Montis:

While Stella Montis is a very PvP-heavy map, you can get Ion Sputters easily with a very odd trick if you don't want to invest much or have gear fear from the recent expedition. The odd trick is going in naked without any shield, augments, or guns.
With a naked loadout, you'll get a safe pocket, so you can look for the ion sputter and put it in your safe pocket and surrender. However, as Stella Montis is littered with Pops, Fireballs, and Ticks, navigating these areas might become a major grind for you.
