If you play Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, you're probably frustrated with how the game locked the dodge button to double-tapping a one of the four keys - A, S, D or W. Luckily, there's a mod that adds a dedicated dodge button.
CD Projekt Red are currently working hard on fixing Cyberpunk 2077 after a messy launch on both consoles and PC. The game is plagued with bugs and sometimes, unusual design choices, which can be quite frustrating.
One of the things that is really inconvenient for many players is how the game allows you to use dodge action. Usually, in some games, you press a single button to dodge while in other titles you can use a combination of two, for example, Shift + any strafe button (W, A, S or D).
In Cyberpunk, you have to double-tap a button to dodge in a direction you want to move which can result in some extremely clumsy deaths. Luckily, thanks to a mod over on NexusMods, PC players now have the option to set a dedicated button for dodge action.
Named, No Moar Double-tapping , the mod includes quality of life changes such as no double-tapping for dodging, a dedicated dodge button (ALT), interaction button changed to (E) instead of (F), no double-tapping for holstering your weapon, and other tweaks.
The installation is pretty simple, you just need to extract the mod contents in the main game folders. The full installation tutorial can be found on the mod download page on Nexus Mods.
We tried the mod and can confirm it works as intended and it certainly makes the combat a much more enjoyable experience. Hopefully, the official patches won't break it down.
