An alleged former Rockstar employee has shared a Grand Theft Auto VI rumour on reddit. The supposed leak mentions a number of interesting things, such as the game's playable characters and map size.
An interesting post appeared on reddit, allegedly revealing some fresh information about the new Grand Theft Auto game.
According to the supposed leak, the game's map will apparently be similar to the one in GTA San Andreas with three major cities and one smaller town. The size will, however, reportedly be as big as "GTA V & RDR2 combined" - as it was roughly described.
The thread continues by saying that there will be four main characters in the game: a driver named Walther Wallace, a guy called Thomas Branigan who apparently has a smuggling plane called "the Raven", a drug dealer named Marcus Burke, and a former Israeli IDF guy, whose name didn't come up.
There will also apparently be a change to the character switching feature where it won't be instant as before. Instead, the transition will be much smoother with the camera traveling to the guy you choose instead of just zooming out.
One of the most interesting things mentioned is that a part of the game will supposedly be set in the 1980s before it skips to the present, which is highly unusual for a Grand Theft Auto game.
The weapon functions will be much more realistic compared to GTA V, and the hand-to-hand combat mechanic will be very similar to the one in Red Dead Redemption 2.
When it comes to missions, they are described as "not as linear" compared to RDR2 and GTA V. It's also said that this only goes for most of the missions - not all of them.
The special abilities for the main characters will be included in the new game and it's said that the only one that is similar to GTA V is going be the ability of Walther Wallace whose gameplay will include a feature similar to Franklin's Driving Focus.
It should be noted that while all the things mentioned above are indeed very specific - they should still be taken with a grain of salt, given that it's still just a mere rumour after all.
