According to the latest video from Bully YouTuber Swegta, Bully 2 is scheduled to release sometime in late 2020 for next-generation consoles - Xbox Project Scorpio and PlayStation 5. Furthermore, the game will also launch on current-gen.
Rockstar Games are yet to officially talk about Bully sequel but recent reports and rumours have started to pile up, suggesting that the game could be in development. Today, we have another major leak from Bully YouTuber who goes by the name of Swegta.
In his latest video, Swegta reveals the release date window and platforms for Bully 2. Apparently, Rockstar Games aim to deliver the sequel sometime in late 2020 for the next generation of consoles from both Sony and Microsoft.
Since late 2020 is the expected release date for both consoles, it's possible that Bully 2 becomes a launch title for Xbox Project Scorpio, next Playstation, or both. Swegta is citing an anonymous source from Rockstar that has been in contact with him for some time.
YouTuber claims that this source provided him with a PDF file, showing actor Jared Johnston's previous work experience, including several roles on a brand new Rockstar Games project, codenamed Fiyero. This source now states that Bully 2 is in development for quite some time and has a tentative release date.
If the leak is correct, Bully 2 will also arrive to current-gen consoles - PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the PC platform at the moment. This is somewhat expected since the original game also missed the PC platform initially. It was ported two years later in a remastered version, titled Scholarship Edition.
Apparently, Rockstar hope to capitalise on a similar success that GTA 5 received after its release on two generations.
While the leak does seem legit, and late 2020 looks like a realistic release window for Bully 2, just like any other rumour or unconfirmed information, take it with a huge grain of salt. It wouldn't be the first time that Swegta is wrong.
