GTA Online community member came into a bit of money after pointing out how Rockstar could reduce the game's loading time and we are all better for it.

GTA Online has been infamous for several things over the course of its existence - cheaters, controversial topics, shark cards, Oppressors and more but the one thing that has been bugging every single player for almost eight years now were the loading times.

Well, that problem has been fixed thanks to the work of an individual going by the name T0ST. This person got sick of the terrible loading times and decided to investigate what was going on. You can see the whole process on T0ST's site and the conclusion that the loading times could be drastically reduced in a few fairly simple steps.

A month and a half later, Rockstar deployed an update and announced that the loading times should be much better now. Since this is the official update, you will no longer need T0ST's fix that could potentially risk you a ban since it modifies a file or two.

While modders in GTA Online are generally a nuisance that you're better off without, T0ST has shown that modifying game files can be used for good. Technically, we already knew it since Bethesda titles owe much of their fame to the folks posting amazing things at Nexusmods but this is a multiplayer game we're talking about.

Most modders will just hop into godmode and explode people around but then someone like T0ST pops up every once in a while and does something amazing. Rockstar paid them a $10,000 bounty, in real life, for the fix so it's rather nice to see a good deed didn't go unrewarded.
