GTA E&E is still two months away from launch but some crucial information is already leaking, like details about character transfers.
GTA E&E will bring GTA V, and importantly - GTA Online, up to the standards of the new generation of consoles while legacy hardware lost the online support in December 2021. When the jump to E&E happens, it appears that the online portion will be somewhat disconnected from the existing version.
As such, the upgrade will also offer character transfers, possibly in an attempt to get as many players to switch, as soon as possible. The transfers are going to be backed up with exclusive rewards to entice more Los Santos criminals to choose the upgrade.
Currently, there is no official info or confirmation for this process but data miners figured it out through references to a clothing category that is called "Gen 9 Exclusive". Ninth generation of consoles are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S which leaves little room for doubt about where they are meant to be redeemed.
Something similar has happened in the past with the bonuses for Returning Players, although they were eventually given out to all existing players, regardless of their platform. The deprecation of the bonuses happened around the time when the legacy hardware lost the support so all of this weaves into the process of getting people to transfer to E&E.
Once again, keep in mind that Rockstar didn't officially announce this information yet and there might be a few more important details around when they do.
