Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is an upcoming steampunk RPG/ platformer made in beautiful pixel art. It gives off Dead Cells vibes although it remains to be seen through actual gameplay whether there are more similarities. Those looking forward to the title can give it a shot at PAX East 2020 where the game will be featured in Sold Out booth, along with four others.
If the name sounds familiar but you can't place it, this is probably because the game was originally called Gestalt: Vanguard and has been in development for several years. However, with the hands-on demo being available in just a week from the time of writing, it's possible the development is already in later stages.
Those looking to give it a shot can check Sold Out boooth #30071 where Gestalt: Steam & Cinder demo will be available along with four other games:
- Disjunction - stealth-action sci-fi RPG
- KeyWe - a cutesy puzzler with two kiwis as protagonists
- No Straight Roads - a music-based action adventure
- Radical Rabbit Stew - an action arcade game full of bunnies
The demos will be available from 27 February to 1 March 2020, or in other words - for the entire duration of PAX East.
