Star Citizen removes option to refund backers

You know, if this wasn't a large company with so many backers, I'd start thinking that Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) are getting ready to pull a scam or something, as Star Citizen's Terms of Service were updated with a no refund policy.

Star Citizen offers Legatus pack for $27.000

Ever since the Kickstarter campaign back in 2012, Star Citizen has enjoyed success with the players "pledging" more money over the years. The success escalated out of proportion, with the game now offering a ship fleet for $27.000.

Crytek to sue Star Citizen developer

It turns out that the German powerhouse Crytek intends to take the Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games to court over what Crytek claims to be CIG’s breach of an earlier contract between the two. Apparently, while procuring CryEngine, CIG got some hefty concessions after throwing out some big promises, which they not only failed to deliver - they ended up switching to another engine altogether. Lousy move on a galactic scale, or a desperate Crytek?
