Tencent acquire a majority stake in Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager

Chinese gaming giant Tencent have officially acquired a majority stake in German developer Yager, who are known for Specs Ops: The Line and the most recent shooter The Cycle.

Dreadnought is now in open beta, brace for space-WoT

Yager's Dreadnought beta has now flipped the sign on their door from closed to open. The closed beta phase lasted for a year and anyone interested in testing what is essentially World of Tanks in space can now have a go for zero money.

The Cycle, a new shooter by Spec Ops devs

Yager have announced that The Cycle will be a match based multiplayer shooter game and is entering alpha testing shortly. Unlike Spec Ops: The Line, their previous shooter, this one will neither be third person nor in contemporary setting.

Spec Ops:The Line is Yager Developments' third person shooter from 2012 that has garnered both fame and infamy since its release. If you haven't played it before and want to figure it out for yourself, you can pick it up for free on Humble.
