Richard Fairbairn

Richard's recently played list reads like a man who knows exactly what he wants and sees no reason to apologise for it. Horror games, racing titles, and an almost religious devotion to Destiny, Rich has carved out his niche, and he's very comfortable in it. A console man through and through, he's firmly in the Sony camp and has no plans to leave anytime soon. When he's not in front of a screen, he's probably on his motorbike, because if you're going to go fast, you may as well do it properly.

Rich is a Bungie loyalist first and foremost, with Destiny 1 and 2 at the top of his most-played games list - he's logged the kind of hours that would concern most people. When he surfaces, he gravitates toward Sony's finest: God of War, Ghost of Yotei, and anything else the first-party stable produces. He's also partial to a good horror game, which puts him at direct odds with at least one other member of the AltChar team. Gran Turismo scratches the motorsport itch in the rare moments he isn't out on his actual motorbike.

Rich is primarily a reviews contributor, with the occasional feature thrown in when something catches his attention. He brings a no-nonsense, player's perspective to his work. If a game is worth your time, he'll tell you, and if it isn't, he'll tell you that too.
