Dreadmoor

Dreadmoor

Dreadmoor is a first-person fishing adventure game developed by Dream Dock and published by Digital Vortex Entertainment, scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in Q4 2026. Set in a flooded post-apocalyptic world known as the Submerged Land, the game puts players at the helm of a fishing trawler navigating a world where coastal regions and much of the remaining land have been swallowed by the sea following a catastrophic human error.

Announced in April 2025, the game accumulated over 40,000 wishlists within ten days of its reveal and has since surpassed 100,000 wishlists on Steam with minimal marketing, landing in the top 600 most-wishlisted games on the platform. The studio has cited DREDGE, Metro Exodus, and Resident Evil as key inspirations.

Gameplay blends skill-based fishing with survival crafting, real-time combat, and open-world exploration across flooded ruins, abandoned buildings, caves, and shipwrecks. Over 100 species of dangerous and rare creatures populate the waters, requiring players to experiment with different baits, scout fishing spots, and actively manage their hold, as sea creatures will devour each other if left unsorted.

Resources are scarce and trust is fragile across the scattered settlements of the Submerged Land, with rare scrap metal and forgotten blueprints offering currency and progression alongside the fish trade. The deeper players explore, the more dangerous the prey and the higher the rewards offered by the mysterious traders of the Submerged Land.
