System Shock remake has finally gone gold, with some backers remembering a bygone era when they pledged to the project.

Nightdive Studios are working on a fully-fleshed VR mode for their long-awaited horror title System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, according to latest reports.

More youthful gamers aren't likely to remember Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, but it's recently been remastered for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, so we guess it's time for PlayStation 4 as well.

The remake of System Shock was a massive success on Kickstarter, with over 20,000 backers believing in Nightdive Studios' vision to bring the game back to life for a modern audience. We went hands on with a demo build of the game.

This year's The Game Awards are already promising a lot and now Geoff Keighley and Co raised the stakes by announcing they've teamed up with 13 developers to release demos of their games via Steam. The Game Festival, as it's called, starts tomorrow and lasts 48 hours.

System Shock's latest gameplay trailer displays visual improvements and shows off artwork that will appear in the final version. The developers wanted to clear the confusion from previous gameplay which only contained placeholders.

System Shock's remake may have endured a scare in February, when development was briefly halted but Nightdive Studios' latest announcement will surely appease the game's Kickstarter backers - System Shock will be playable come September.

Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil have been remastered for Xbox One by Nightdive Studios. The new versions have been enhanced with a new visual engine with new features. The two games will be available for Xbox One in early March.
