Nvidia are set to introduce GeForce RTX Super cards this month to tackle AMD's Navi GPUs. According to Wccftech, the company will unleash its new cards in one full lineup. Super series are probably just a refresh of the existing RTX cards.

Less than a year since Nvidia released their GeForce RTX graphics cards, a refresh of the series appears to be on the way. According to the latest rumours and leaks from tech website Wccftech, Nvidia will announce their GeForce RTX Super series sometime this month.

Wccftech claim that a date is set for 21 June 2019 but it's possible that they change it a bit. However, an announcement is definitely expected pretty close to the start of summer.

As for the new series, the Super GPUs will replace the whole RTX lineup - from 2060 to 2080Ti. The ultra high-end Ti parts are going to come later and won't launch with their non-Ti brethren.

Below you can check out the full lineup of GeForce RTX cards:

  • GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SUPER
  • GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
  • GeForce RTX 2070 Ti SUPER
  • GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
  • GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

If you're wondering what kind of performance increase will these cards bring, well, apparently, Super series will come with faster memory and core count increase across the whole lineup.

RTX 2080Ti and 2070Ti Super cards will be made from brand new chips and will feature 11 and 8 GB of VRAM respectively. Other cards will include unlocked chips of higher tier cards. For example, RTX 2060 Super features unlocked chip of RTX 2070 card, while RTX 2080 Super is powered by RTX 2080 Ti chip.

Nvidia's RTX series introduced real-time ray tracing and some other new features but the pricing was higher than expected, which was a big turn off for most gamers. The Super series will apparently have the same pricing scheme as the original cards. Basically, Nvidia moved up all their parts by one in the performance tier while retaining the price points.
