eFootball PES 2020 may have the rights to some football giants, such as Manchester United and Juventus, but the experience can be even better. Here's our guide on how to add all the official team names, kits, emblems and more to the game.

Even though Konami have managed to land a number of valuable new team licences with eFootball PES 2020, there's still a lot to be desired when it comes to proper team names, kits, badges and so on.

Luckily, as was the case with the previous iterations of the game, this issue can easily be resolved if you have a PlayStation 4. However, if you're gaming on the Xbox One, then that's tough luck because the method that we'll show you works only on the PS4, at least as far as consoles go.

If you're a PC player, then you got it best as usual of course. You can just grab virtually any custom option file or patch you can find online, install it and you will be good to go. On PlayStation 4 however, things are a bit more complicated than that, but it's far from rocket science. Let's show you how it's done.

The first thing you want to do is download the custom option file created by the incredibly talented PESVicioBR. After you download the file, simply extract it to a USB flash drive. You should see a folder titled WEPES - it is important that you do not rename or edit the folder or its files in any way, just keep it as it is.

Also, make sure that your USB flash drive is in FAT32 format, otherwise the PS4 will not be able to read it. And that is all you need to do on your PC, now let's move on to what you have to do on your PlayStation 4.

First, follow this path on your PS4: Settings - Application Saved Data Management - Saved Data in System Storage - Delete, then locate and delete any Edit Data under eFootball PES 2020 that you possibly might have. Note that if you've never made any changes to the game, you can skip this step.

Then, start up eFootball PES 2020, go to the Settings page and then press Edit. Here, you will get a screen asking you to create Edit Data, hit Yes and just wait a few moments until the data is created.

Once that is done, go to Import/Export and this is where all the magic happens. Hit Import Team and then select all files by pressing the square button and then hit next. Now you will see a screen with some detailed settings. Make sure to tick both boxes and then press okay.

This will start the edit process where all the teams in the game are going to be updated with their correct kits and team names. Because there's a lot of teams to edit, the process might take quite a while, so just be patient and maybe go grab yourself a cup of coffee until it's all done.

Now that you've finished importing the teams, you will want to import the correct competition emblems. Fortunately, Konami have made this bit just as easy again this year. Simply go to the Import/Export screen again and hit Import Competition. Then select all files like you did before, tick the detailed settings box and let the patch do its magic.

After importing the emblems, you will have all existing teams and competitions fully licensed in eFootball PES 2020. The only thing left for you to do now is save your progress and you're done. Note that this custom option file works for every mode in the game, including online modes like MyClub, so it really is a game-changer in every sense of the word.

Downloading and applying this patch to your game will drastically improve your eFootball PES 2020 experience, so we strongly recommend that you take the time to do it.

In case you got lost somewhere along the way while reading this tutorial and the custom option file is not working for you, take a look at our video for a visual step-by-step guide on how to properly install and apply this patch.
