EA are officially shutting down the racing sim franchise Project Cars. The publisher say it's a tough decision to make but one that will allow them to prioritise other games from their portfolio.

Slightly Mad Studios, the devs of Project Cars 3 have confirmed that their upcoming racer will not have pit stops, something that fans feared since the official trailer. On top of this, fuel usage and tyre wear are also gone.

Slightly Mad Studios have released first gameplay footage from their upcoming racing simulation Project Cars 3. The gameplay demo features races on two tracks and feels more arcade than previous games.

Codemasters, the dev that built its reputation on driving games, has acquired Slighty Mad Studios, whom you probably know from their work on the Project Cars franchise. Oh, and there are whispers of a Fast & Furious game in development.

According to the Slightly Mad Studios CEO Ian Bell, Project Cars 3 will be a game-changer and revolution in the racing sim genre. Bell said that the game is already 200 per cent better than Project Cars 2 and he can't stop playing it.

It looks like Slightly Mad Studios's Mad Box console future is in doubt after the announcement of Google Stadia earlier this year. Slightly Mad Studios' Nathan Bell confirmed that the project lost two of its big investors since then.

Slightly Mad Studios' CEO Ian Bell shared some early concept designs for the Mad Box controller which features a LED touchscreen, two rear paddles and precision triggers. The studio is also planning to add a Bluetooth smartphone connection.

PlayStation Now subscribers got a fresh batch of games which include some big titles like Prey, Metro 2033 Redux and Project Cars 2 along with a couple of PS3 games. A total of nine new games have been added to the January 2019 lineup.
