A more intricate Nemesis system and much bigger scale
A new gameplay trailer is up for Middle-earth: Shadows of War. 15 minutes of gory alpha footage from the game set to release on 25 August 2017.
From the looks of it, the Nemesis system has been beefed up with extra layers of complexity and moving parts in order to create a unique experience for each player. Riding around on drakes and ork allies of various types are also on the table, along with uniquely generated bosses and their corresponding lairs.
The presented footage shows a later stage of the game with a lot of new combat animations and some interesting looking skills.
Shadow of War may very well benefit from the straightforward way Monolith has decided to design the sequel. A little more complexity, some streamlining and a few big new features, "here is more of the stuff you already liked, just a little improved".
