Grant Theft Auto 6 may still be years away but a supposed leak alleges that the game will have more than one city, unlike the previous instalments. Furthermore, the leaker teases another fictional location, the Republic of Castellano.
Grant Theft Auto 5 has become an enormous success for Rockstar Games that is a major golden goose even today, six years after the initial release, mostly thanks to the online component. Rockstar wanted to continue the streak with Red Dead Redemption 2 but the egregious microtransactions backfired and the game lost some of its previously gained popularity.
It remains to be seen if it will at least hold up until the next GTA title though, which seems to be deep into development already and supposed leaks are popping up like mushrooms after rain.
One such leak claims that two full-fledged cities will be featured in GTA 6, unlike in any previous instalments. The cities in question are the ones we've already seen - Vice City and Liberty City.
The story allegedly starts in 1970s Vice City when the player goes there in order to assassinate the don of the Gambetti crime family, Sony Cangelosi. If the leak turns out to be true, it will be an extremely interesting story point since we already had dealings with his successor in GTA IV.
According to the rest of the post, the story will span several years as players progress through the organised criminal underground but their stay in Liberty City will be limited with focus apparently staying on Vice City.
Players will apparently be able to actually drive between Liberty City and Vice City as they smuggle drugs for criminal organisations.
There are more locations that will be featured, however, but their involvement may vary. For example, one of the new fictional locations is the Republic of Castellano, a mix between Colombia and Bolivia.
