Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version rumours and leaks keep flourishing, despite Rockstar claiming they are not working on it. The latest one comes from the game's companion app, hinting at features for the PC version of this outlaw adventure.

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version leaks and rumours have been going around for a while and the sources range from MediaMarkt listings, over Rockstar Employee's LinkedIN profile, to Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app parameters.

This time around, with the companion app, the PC version is almost official, since the only thing that is missing is a confirmation from Rockstar Games. This particular bit of info surfaced when RockstarIntel dug into the app's files.

Some of the most obvious pointers were found in the parameters directly referencing PC in one way or another. Here are a few examples.

Some references also point to a PC version of the companion app:

SIGNIN_IOS_APP_URL    0000000002A9C890

On top of these references, there is also a list of parameters referencing graphics settings adjustment, which we already know is not possible on consoles. There is even a section referencing advanced graphics settings, on top of the regular ones.

As a cherry on a rather tasty cowboy cake comes a line that mentions support for VR, so PC players might get a chance to immerse themselves further by experiencing horse's balls shrinking in virtual reality. The line in question is rather simple, PARAM_Oculus, but there is no telling how far away the VR version is, especially considering that just the regular PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 might be years away.

If you walk down the memory lane, you will remember that it took around a year and a half for GTA V to come to PC after the game was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version came before it, and the story could be repeated with Red Dead Redemption 2 as next gen consoles are seemingly just around the corner.
