Spyro remasters have been a popular topic for a while but they were just rumours until now. Spyro the Dragon: Treasure Trilogy is getting revealed today at 20:00 GMT which will make it official, according to a leak on Reddit.

Spyro the Dragon: Treasure Trilogy didn't have an official name up until the leak, which might grant a bit more credibility to the Reddit post. That alone wouldn't normally be enough to consider the leak credible, but this one came from the same person who correctly leaked the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal six days prior.

Black Ops 4's leak didn't have any sources listed, but the Spyro one has a small body of text saying ''Info from inside sources at Activision''. It seems to be true that this person has a connection within Activision as this is the second reveal of theirs leaked by the same Reddit user within a week.

B4DASS may also be a person Activision are using to start their hype trains a few hours before the official reveals or it could also be a low key company account. Either way, chances are high we will get to see a remastered Spyro in action this evening.

As stated in our video last month, the game is slated for a Q3 2018, most likely September, in time for the game's 20th anniversary. The release will be a PS4 timed exclusive, and other platforms are likely getting the game some time in 2019. It will include cut content from the games, new lighting, cinematics and assets.

Another interesting point, the @SpyroTheDragon Twitter account was held by an unknown individual until recently. Activision have obtained it last month and when attempting to reset the password for the account, Twitter will show it is registered to sp***@a*********.*** which corresponds to spyro@activision.com.

Spyro's remaster seems to be in good hands, as it is being handled by Vicarious Visions - the same people behind the successful Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy remaster.
