Star Wars Battlefront II has a new patch. The latest update added Iden Versio’s TIE/In fighter. A new Blast map can be found on Crait. Every piece of the patch is very respectful of the Star Wars canon.
Star Wars Battlefront II received an update today. The new patch aims to capitalise on The Last Jedi's success by making the salty moon from the movie its main focus. A new Blast map has now been added to the white vastness we know as Crait.
Iden Versio’s TIE/In fighter has been made available as a new Hero Starfighter in multiplayer matches. The craft comes with the usual bells and whistles such as a speed boosting system, laser guns and a couple of torpedos. The TIE fighter will cost you 5000 credits to unlock, so better get to grinding I guess.
Versio’s TIE/In fighter also has its own infamous Star Cards and Milestones. Hurry up and snag those loot boxes, otherwise your primary weapons may stay susceptible to overheating for who knows how long. Can't have that now, can we?
Finn and his favourite superior, Captain Phasma were nerfed a little bit and Lando had his cooldown bug betrayed. I mean fixed. The patch also made some changes to various Heros and squashed some general bugs.
The new update has been applied just as the game's first season based on the latest Star Wars film was winding down. EA confirmed some new characters and locations but those will come as a part of some future update.
All these changes have been made with the utmost respect for the Star Wars canon. EA would just hate to change anything written in the sacred texts. No word yet on when the microtransactions will be back.
Full patch notes have been published on EA's forums.
