The Fortnitemares event ends on Nov. 29 with the release of the V.1.9.1 patch. Weekly leaderboards will be refreshed once the V.1.9.1 patch is released.

Fortnite just got a new update and it's a doozie. The patch is going to help fix many bugs as well as add some new content to both Battle Royale and Save the World modes. So let's get into it, shall we?

The first new addition I choose to talk about today are the new leaderboards. The Battle Royale mode got two of those: a global leaderboard - measured by wins and showcases the top 50 players for the selected match type, and a scoreboard - measured by the amount of total experience gained.

Save the World mode, on the other hand, got nine new Vindertech weapons including a Pulsar rifle, a Blaster pistol and a Slammer hammer.

Next up: smoke grenades. These nifty little item things can be found in all container types, and can spawn randomly as floor loot. The smoke grenades are not lethal. They are meant to be thrown like a frag and obscure another player's vision with white smoke. Fancy.

Moving on, Mutant storms return to the Save the World mode. For every 500 unspent Halloween tickets you will receive a Halloween llama, available in the loot tab. New Event Quests specific to Mutant Storms have been added.

Fortnite's new update brought Xbox One X support. From the patch notes:

"Fortnite on Xbox One X pushes the game’s visual settings comparable to what you’d see on a PC set to “Epic” quality. This includes better-quality reflections (including screen space reflections being enabled); higher quality post processes like motion blur, anti-aliasing, and depth of field; great draw distances; more detailed foliage; shadow casting enabled on more lights and objects; and higher resolution textures and shadows."

And now a side note: The Fortnitemares event ends on Nov. 29 with the release of the V.1.9.1 patch. Weekly leaderboards will be refreshed once the V.1.9.1 patch is released.
