Battlefield 1's November update brought the Operation Campaigns mode. Eastern Storm is the first Operation Campaign available in the game. The Nivelle Nights map has been unlocked for all players.
Battlefield 1's November update is here and so is the Operation Campaigns mode. The Operations Campaign mode will combine multiple Operations into one big Campaign.
Eastern Storm is the first Operation Campaign available in Battlefield 1. Eastern Storm stitches together In the Name of the Tsar: Brusilov Offensive and Red Tide. The first Operation Campaign is available to anyone who claims ownership over a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, and those with the standalone Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar expansion.
Operation Campaigns went live with today's update and here's what DICE had to say about them: "Participate in these Operations and your end of round score will be applied toward the progress of unlocking a Battlepack reward. PTFO to maximize your score, but be sure to stick around until the end of the match to have it applied toward your progress."
They'd also like you to know that "you’ll be greeted by a slightly different user interface on the Operation globe screen" while there's an active campaign running.
An Operation Campaign tracker located at the bottom right corner of the screen will indicate the Operations that are part of the campaign as well as the cumulative score you need to have if you wish to unlock your reward. A bunch of other stuff such as the amount of time remaining and a star on particular Operation icons, signifying that it is a part of the active campaign will also be visible.
The Nivelle Nights map has been unlocked for all players. Also, Battlefield 1 is now compatible with Dolby’s High Dynamic Range standard. A compatible graphics card and TV will give you Battlefield 1 mastered for Dolby Vision HDR colours and brightness.
A slew of additional fixes and improvements was also included in the latest update and you can check out the patch notes right here.
