The next PUBG update will add a new weapon, foggy weather and a bunch of bug fixes. New ways of rendering water in the game are also to be implemented at some point down the line.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds next update is due soon, and will be bringing the Mini-14 as a new weapon to the game with it.
Aside from the new rifle, the battle royale shooter will receive a new weather feature in the form of fog. This might make life a little more difficult for snipers, and a lot easier for those trying to stay out of their line of sight.
Brendan Greene recently said that the game's water rendering techniques might get an update in collaboration with the developers of Sea of Thieves.
"That's a great thing about being part of a network of studios. We can get that water tech, essentially for free, and we can share stuff with them. That's just invaluable, because their water is great. Having that would really finish off our world nicely", Greene told GI.biz in a recent interview.
Bluehole Studio have slowed down their update schedule recently, attributing the change to concernes over the game's quality, but the next update is right around the corner. Sadly, still no drivable tractors.
We've been working on the new build and will deploy the update next week. Test servers will be up for at least 2 days early next week.— PUBG (@PUBG) September 7, 2017
