Telltale's Batman: The Enemy Within is now available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The first episode is called "The Enigma". There will be five episodes total.
Less than a month ago we got some details on Telltale's roadmap for the rest of 2017, and the beginning of 2018. The "direct style" video shared on Telltale's You Tube channel promised new Batman episodes, the final season of The Walking Dead and a second season of The Wolf Among Us.
We'll have to wait a couple more months for the latter two, but the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within that became available today could help tide the fans over.
Today's episode "The Enigma" is the first of five and it's available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Mac users can expect their episode to drop later in the week. Android and iOS devices will get their version of Batman: The Enemy Within sometime in early October.
October will also see a special "Season Pass Disc" released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The disc will include the first episode of the season, as well as download access to all subsequent episodes as they are released through an online connection.
The Enigma episode will, of course, feature The Riddler, as well as a "ruthless federal agent" and John Doe who is a ticking Joker bomb just waiting to blow up. If you have previously played Batman: The Telltale Series, you will have the option to carry your choices over to The Enemy Within, even though the two series are standalone products.
This season will also include Telltale's multiplayer "Crowd Play" feature. The feature allows friends and family to "engage with the adventure together by helping to decide the direction of the story from any mobile device with an online connection."
