Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3 open beta will start on on Friday, 21 April, and run until Monday, 24 April. All three of the game's factions will be available, along with five elite heroes each. Masters of War skins will also be available for everyone.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3 open beta long weekend is scheduled for late April. The beta will feature the multiplayer mode and you'll get to strategize all over the place. Well, not exactly all over the place, as you'll gain access to three multiplayer maps out of eight total.
All three of the game's factions - Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks - will be available along with five elite heroes per faction (that's like..fifteen elite heroes).
Masters of War skins will be unlocked for all as a type of preview. That includes: The Dark Queen skin for Lady Solaria (Imperial Knight), the Ghost Seer skin for Farseer Taldeer (Wraithknight) and the Big Kustom skin for Beauty (Morkanaut). When the full game launches, only the folks who pre-ordered the game will get those skins for free.
The open beta will run from 6PM on Friday, 21 April, until 6PM on Monday, 24 April. The open beta is, well open, so anyone itching to try the game can sign up. You'll just need a Relic account and voilà, your very own, unique, access key. The keys will be sent out on 12 April, and the pre-load begins on 18 April.
Also if you pre-ordered the game, that does not automatically make you signed up for the beta. Everyone signs up for their keys. All your progress will be deleted after the beta ends on 24 April.
If you're wondering how strong of a machine you need to have in order to give this game a go, you can check out the minimum requirements here.
Finally, go here to sign up for the open beta, and good luck.
Dawn of War III is set for release for PC on 27 April.
