Nintendo shared an overview trailer for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, slated for release on 28 April, just got an overview trailer on Nintendo's YouTube channel.
The trailer introduced the options of racing on dry land, in the water or in the sky. Apparently you can spider pig-it-up and race on the walls and ceilings as well. There will be around 40 characters to choose from, and 48 tracks to race on.
Items making a comeback include BOO and Feather. Smart steering is introduced to help the players stay on track. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will feature a TV mode, which will accommodate up to 4 players, a table-top mode where the Joy-Con controllers and the screen are being shared, and a handheld mode for up to eight players.
Game modes include the Grand Prix, a Vs Race and Time Trials.
Battle mode is also making a comeback, featuring Balloon Battles, a new addition called Renegade Roundup, Bob-omb Blast, Coin Runners and Shine Thief. In online play, you'll be able to play with friends, worldwide, regionally or compete in tournaments.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will launch on 28 April together with Joy-Con Wheels.
