Sniper Elite 4 follows the formula of its predecessors, improving it along the way
Maps are quite large and the missions take anywhere between an hour and two to complete. Missions that are scattered along the map have a primary and some sub-objectives and the game lets players choose the order in which they complete each one.
Sniping is a large part of the game and it's improved on with the addition of ghost sniping, the opportunity to mask a shot with the noise of a generator or a plane. Environmental kills are also an option whether it's a well placed barrel of explosive goodness or using a run down bridge.
The problems the game has hide in the AI. This has improved since the last entry in the series but is not yet top-notch - for example it's possible to loose enemies when they spot the player quite quickly. Another problem is the reward system which resembles those of mobile games - meaning that the game rewards even the most botched attempts at taking a Nazi life. A forgettable WWII "let's shoot some Nazis" story is in effect but the game, being primarily a stealthy shooter, remains quite enjoyable.

Developers Rebellion recently announced that the Season Pass will cost around £27, and allow players access to all 12 of the game's post-launch content packs, including 4 full campaign missions for 1-2 players.
