Star Wars Battlefront 2 is going to get its first DLC pack in early December. The Last Jedi season kicks off on 05 December. The Last Jedi and all subsequent post launch content for Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be available free of charge.
New heroes, maps, and the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Resurrection single-player story will arrive soon. Star Wars has always been about sides and the coarseness of sand which gets everywhere.
On 05 December, you'll be asked to choose a side: "align with the First Order or choose to fight for the Resistance." Your choice is important because it will determine which special challenges you take part in, and what faction specific rewards you will receive.
Finn and Captain Phasma will join their respective camps on 13 December. The post on EA's webpage says that "they can be purchased with in-game Credits that week. Whichever faction is victorious in completing the most challenges that week will net a reward as well: a special Crate of high-power upgrades for Finn or Captain Phasma." Crystals were not mentioned.
The fun won't stop there: a new planetary map - Crait along with the Starfighter Assault map of D'Qar and a new hero ship - Tallie Lintra's RZ-2 A-wing will also be available on 13 December. Poe Dameron’s T-70 X-wing will be upgraded with a new ability inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Resurrection single player chapters will launch on 13 December as well. "In Star Wars Battlefront 2 Resurrection, you’ll join Commander Iden Versio during the days of the First Order’s rise to power."
The Last Jedi DLC and all subsequent post launch content for Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be available free of charge. This should make you feel better about those loot crates. Is it working?
