Operation Blood Orchid got its third Operator. Her name is Ela and chaos is her home. Operation Blood Orchid is set to launch on 05 September.
Ela is the first member of the Polish CTU, GROM, to take the field. We'll have more Operators from Poland when the next Operation drops. Ela is a defender who packs Grzmot mines. Her mines are of the proximity concussion variety and they can stick to walls, ceilings and floors.
The mines only detonate when an enemy gets close, they do zero damage but they do stun the enemies, cause trouble with their hearing and shake up their vision.
"Chaos is my home." Umm, no, chaos is a ladder.
Other than mines, Ela will be wielding the T-5 SMG and SIX12 SD as primary weapons, and the Q-929 as a secondary weapon. Her pistol has an integrated dot sight. Additionally, Ela is very fast on her feet so she can stay out of harm's way while her bombs go off and then go in and take advantage of the effects.
"And if she happens to get downed, Ela can manually detonate a concussion charge on her person (she always carries an extra just for this purpose), giving allies a better chance to clear the area and revive her."
Operation Blood Orchid is set to launch on 05 September, with a Technical Test Server run open to PC players happening on 29 August. The three new Operators and the new map will all be a part of the Technical Test Server run.
Season Pass holders will have a head start with the Operators, with all three being available on launch day. Everyone else will get to purchase the Operators one week later. More info will be available during the Pro League finals on 26 August at 5:15 PM BST. A live stream can be watched via Twitch.
