Ubisoft will donate €120K to Child's Play Charity thanks to player revives in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint beta. Earlier during the weekend, Ubisoft announced that every time a milestone is reached, they will donate a certain amount of money.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint closed beta which started on Friday last week has come to an end today, and if you and your friends took part in the testing, revived each other during the tough times, you'll be happy to hear that thanks to you and more than 350k other players, Ubisoft will be donating €120K to charity.
According to the live tracker on the publisher's website, at the moment, the number of revives stands at 384,736, which means that the charity organisation will receive €120K.
Recently, Ubisoft announced that every time a milestone is reached, the company will donate a certain amount of money to Child's Play Charity. "Ubisoft is proud to associate with Child’s Play during Ghost Recon Breakpoint Beta. During this Beta, the number of revived Ghosts will be tracked live on this page. Every time a milestone is reached, Ubisoft will donate a certain amount of money to the organization," it's written in the announcement.
As you can see on the live tracker, Ubisoft set another milestone at 700k revives but unfortunately beta participants didn't manage to reach it before the test ended. Still, this is a fantastic cause by Ubisoft and it's not the first time that the publisher will be donating money.
Earlier this year, they donated $565,000 for the reconstruction and restoration of Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris, which was severely damaged in a huge fire. Furthermore, Assassin's Creed Unity was free to download and keep on their Uplay launcher.
As for what's next for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, well, since the beta suffered from a fair amount of bugs and glitches, it's safe to say that the developers will have their hands full in the next twenty days. Hopefully, they fix them all in time for the release.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is officially hitting the shelves on 04 October 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
