According to the listing on GameStop online store, Ubisoft could reveal new Splinter Cell game pretty soon. The store is selling Splinter Cell goggles replica and the product description mentions that the 10th release is on the horizon.

It's been more than six years since the latest instalment in Ubisoft's stealth shooter series Splinter Cell. It still feels like Ubisoft are just waiting for the right moment to reveal the new game but other than comments like "we're looking at it", there is no solid info and the publisher are yet to fully commit to new game.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot talked about Splinter Cell franchise and what the future holds for Sam Fisher. He said that other Ubisoft titles such as Assassin's Creed make it hard for Splinter Cell as developers would rather work on something that players already love and appreciate than on franchises' where a lot could go wrong.

And while we still wait for the announcement, a lot of rumours and leaks have been floating around lately. Today, we have another one coming from GameStop. The online store is selling Splinter Cell Goggles Replica, which cost $40, but the interesting part here is the official description of the product.

It contains a tidbit which is almost certain to start another round of excitement among Splinter Cell fans. Here's what it says: "For the first time since the introduction of Splinter Cell in 2002, after nine top-selling AAA+ titles, and with the 10th release on the horizon, this is your first chance to own Sam Fisher's signature Ultra High-Frequency Sonar Goggles."

Yep, you read that right. It looks like GameStop have some exclusive info on Splinter Cell development and according to them, a new game could arrive pretty soon. Of course, this little part in the product description doesn't mean that Ubisoft are indeed working on a new Splinter Cell game. Just take it with a grain of salt like any other rumour, leak and unconfirmed information.

That being said, we hope that this GameStop listing turns out to be true as we are big fans of Sam Fisher and his adventures.
