Publisher Square Enix and developer Avalanche Studios have today announced a brand new DLC for their action-adventure Just Cause 4. Named Danger Rising, it adds hoverboard, eight new missions and more. It launches on 29 August 2019.

Just Cause 4 is set to receive the third and final add-on pack included with the Dare Devils, Demons and Danger Expansion Pass. Named Danger Rising, the new DLC is adding a bunch of new content and items for another round of fun on Just Cause 4's tropical island.

Danger Rising is officially scheduled to launch on 29 August 2019 but those who purchased the Gold Edition of Just Cause 4 will get to access it seven days early on 22 August 2019.

As for the content that Danger Rising is bringing, well, a new prototype Hoverboard is the highlight and it should offer players another fun way to travel around the vast open-world and across the surface of the ocean.

You can even do tricks such as kickflips for some seriously spectacular screenshots. The developers, Avalanche Studios describe the new item as a best-in-class suite of traversal options that will give players even more speed and style during the explosive shootouts.

The story of the new DLC will set you up against the Agency, who are bringing the full force of their brand new tech and highly trained Agents to hunt Rico and Sheldon. These agents will be able to grapple across the terrain and attack from all angles, with weaponry that is never seen before in Just Cause 4.

Furthermore, Danger Rising adds eight new missions and multiple exciting new weapons and vehicles. There's the ultra-powerful Sequoia 370 Mag-Slug, a magnesis rifle named Stormalong Em Zero and Yellowstone Auto Sniper Rifle.

Victoria Setian, Senior Producer at Avalanche Studios said that Danger Rising is the best game has to offer when it comes to combat and gameplay. "This is a true game-changer. Just Cause 4 already had some of the best traversal mechanics around, but the Hoverboard ties everything together and gives players the smoothest, most dynamic movement system in any action game," Setian said.
