Epic have rolled out the v10.0 content update for Fortnite and it adds the Automatic Sniper Rifle and a temporal glitch that transforms Neo Tilted into a Wild West settlement with an added twist. Also announced was the Arsenal LTM.
So, brace yourselves for some surgical full-auto suppression with the Automatic Sniper Rifle, which also happens to have the fastest bullet speed of all its scoped siblings.
Epic somewhat compensated for this, however, by strapping Fortnite's new rifle with a reduced zoom scope.
Automatic Sniper Rifles come in rare, epic and legendary flavours, dealing 31/33/35 damage, respectively. Hitting headshots ups this to 62/66/70. It shoots 4 rounds of medium ammo per second and packs 16 rounds per magazine.
As for the new-old Fortnite locale, Epic wrote that Neo Tilted ain't so neo anymore.
"A Rift Zone has turned this location into what it was many years in the past: a Wild West settlement. What's even wilder than this western twist is that building and harvesting are prohibited", they said.
Moreover, Epic threw in, or more like unvaulted a few weapons and they only spawn in Tilted Town. These are - Double Barrel Shotgun's epic and legendary variants, the Six hooter in uncommon, rare and Epic flavours, uncommon and rare Hunting Rifles and a common Infantry Rifle.
Last but not least is the announcement of the Arsenal limited-time mode, which is a solos mode with respawning turned on.
"Work your way through all of the weapons, starting with the higher rarities and ending with the lower rarities. The first player to get an elimination with the final weapon wins! Infinite ammo is on, and players will drop materials when they are eliminated", they wrote.
Epic didn't say when the Arsenal LTM will be added, but their 'coming soon' usually means even sooner than that.
In related news, the Fortnite World Cup Finals have officially become the most-watched competitive gaming event outside of China, and that's just from Twitch and YouTube.
