Treyarch have added Captain Price as a playable character to Call of Duty Black Ops 4's battle royale mode Blackout. However, there's a catch, in order to unlock Price, you'll need to pre-order the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
Activision are starting with Call of Duty Modern Warfare reboot promotion with the introduction of the legendary character from the original Modern Warfare - Captain Price. As announced earlier this week, Captain Price arrives as a new playable character but only to those who pre-order Modern Warfare.
At the moment, there is no other way to obtain Captain Price in Blackout, which is a bit disappointing to see, but hopefully, this is a short promo and Captain Price also becomes available to those who don't plan to pre-purchase Modern Warfare.
When it comes to pre-orders, you know our policy as we always suggest that you should wait for the reviews before making a decision. However, it's your hard earned money and if you already pre-ordered Modern Warfare or plan to do so, Captain Price will be yours, but only on PlayStation 4 at the moment.
This is because of the exclusivity deal between Sony and Activision that will also continue in Modern Warfare. However, this doesn't mean that Price won't arrive to PC and Xbox One. The exclusive deal is only for seven days early access, meaning that Price will become available on PC and Xbox One on 18 July 2019.
Activision also released a short trailer to showcase Price, so if you want to take a closer look at his model, you can watch the trailer above.
In other Call of Duty Modern Warfare news, earlier this week Activision and Treyarch revealed a brand new multiplayer mode for Modern Warfare. Named Gunfight, it sets two teams of two players against each other on tiny, custom-made maps.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is set to launch later this year on 25 October 2019 and it will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
