Trine: Ultimate Collection lives up to its name since it features all three existing Trine games as well as the upcoming Trine 4. This collection has been announced for Nintendo Switch and it is coming to Nintendo Store during Fall 2019.
Nintendo are most likely going to bag another win as soon as Trine: Ultimate Collection comes around since two out of three Trine games so far have been received very well from players and critics alike. Trine 3 is the only exception, which had a lukewarm reception due to going 3D and cutting off abruptly.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is well on the road to be as loved as the first two Trine games though. Modus Games decided to go back to the roots with 2D beautifully crafted environments and hopefully a story that will not leave us feeling like we only played half a game.
PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the Ultimate Edition have already been announced and only Nintendo Switch one was in question, until now.
The Ultimate Collection of Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince costs $49.99 / €49.99 across all platforms while the regular one stands at $29.99 / €29.99 which means the other three games are bundled into a $20 / €20 price tag.
For those who don't own any games from the collection, the bundle is definitely worth it, provided they like 2D platformers and puzzle solving in front of beautiful background scenery.
On the other hand, if someone already owns a game or two from the Trine series, it would be wise for PC players to wait up for another Steam sale to kick in since these games' prices tend to drop quite a lot.
Anyway, Switch players will be able to team up for co-op as per usual. Additionally, they will get digital goodies in the form of soundtrack and digital art book as well as a physical Trine 4 map.
