Sony shared the list of most downloaded games on PS4 in June 2019. The list is topped by 2K Games' basketball simulation NBA 2K19 while Marvel's Spider-Man took the second spot. On the VR list, Five Nights at Freddy’s takes the crown.
2K Games' basketball simulation NBA 2K19 has topped the list of most downloaded PlayStation 4 games in June 2019, Sony's monthly report has revealed. This may come as a surprise for some as recently released Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled may look like a stronger candidate for the top spot.
However, Beenox's remake of the classic kart racer is placed mid-table, right behind Marvel's Spider-Man, Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition in second, third and fourth respectively.
As you can see, a lot of older titles made the list and this is due to several large sales that happened on PlayStation Store this month. For example, NBA 2K19 was available only for $2.99, which is a no-brainer, even if you don't play sports games that much.
Bohemia Interactive’s open-world survival game, DayZ, finally released on PlayStation 4 at the end of May 2019, so many of its downloads occurred throughout June 2019, helping it reach the seventh place on the list.
