Blizzard have rolled out a few trailers for Hearthstone's new expansion called Saviours of Uldum and it marks the return of the games famous team League of Explorers, while borrowing as much from Egypt as it did from the 80s hero themes.
You know, that 10 year period of a battle for cultural dominance between the hair gel syndicate and the keyboard lobby, which lasted far too long and couldn't end soon enough.
Anyway, Blizzard wrote, "Saddle up with the League of Explorers, stop Arch-Villain Rafaam and his band of bad guys from unleashing Uldum's ancient secrets in the name of E.V.I.L., and help save the world!"T
Reno, Elise, Brann and Sir Finley return to the game in Hearthstone: Saviours of Uldum, when itkicks off on 06 August 2019. The expansion features 135 cards, traditionally including some new mechanics.
Blizzard have prepared a new keyword - Reborn, which allows its bearers to return to the game once they're destroyed for the first time, except they return with a single health point.
Restless Mummy is one of the first cards with this trait to be revealed, and you can check it out below.
Another quite probably gamechanging novelty, and that might be both figuratively and literally, are Plagues, whose capability to first silence and then destroy minions means that whatever sort of defense you think you have - you don't.
"Oh good, the League of E.V.I.L. has figured out how to unleash deadly plagues. Does… does this look infected to you?", Blizzard wrote. Thankfully, these won't come cheap and as you can see, Plague of Death costs nine mana.
Hearthstone: Saviours of Uldum comes with a total of nine new Quest Cards as well, such as Untapped Potential, which rewards players who end four turns with any unspent mana with Ossirian Tear.
Ossirian Tear is a passive hero power that grants you the ability to have both effects combined when getting Choose One cards.
