Funcom have released a new free update for Conan Exiles. Update 36 comes with the Warmaker's Sanctuary dungeon, community paintings, and changes to the temperature system. Various NPCs and items have also been added or shuffled around.
Conan Exiles has received another free update on PC. Funcom have said that the most recent batch of changes and new content will be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One soon as well.
Most of the dev team's focus has apparently gone into the new Warmaker's Sanctuary dungeon. The location is described as an endgame destination populated by high-level adversaries and will reward players with recipes and special items upon completion.
Funcom have also tinkered with the number and location of NPCs, different types of loot, recipes and added numerous visual elements to encampments as well as larger settlements.
The game's temperature system has also seen some changes aimed at making it more consistent and easier to read. PC enthusiasts will be glad to hear that drinking water now provides a water cooling effect, instead of just cooling down. Changes have also been made to the way different temperatures effects stack and interact, notably along with a regeneration buff for players who manage to maintain a neutral body temperature.
Another overhaul was done for the Survival and Agility attributes and their corresponding stats, buffing them to be more of a viable avenue when dealing with negative status effects or providing more armour and accuracy.
The winner and runners up of a previously held community contest can now exhibit their work in-game. Players have been asked to submit recreations of famous buildings, real or fictional, and everyone can now hang the results in their hideout in the form of special craftable paintings.
Conan Exiles is doing pretty well for itself as far as verifiable PC player counts go via Steam, and the game's console release probably helped those total player counts a great deal.
