Ready your wallets ladies and gents - Steam Summer Sale is about to begin according to the latest leak. The date is set for Tuesday, 25 June 2019 says Steam Database Twitter profile, who also successfully leaked last year's sale date.
Steam Sale, the place for many discounts, and amazing deals where you usually buy a ton of titles that you never play is just around the corner. The start date for the Summer edition of Steam Sale has been leaked by Steam Database Twitter.
According to their info, this year's sale will be named Steam Grand Prix Summer Sale and it's coming on Tuesday, 25 June 2019. Of course, just like any other leak, rumour or unconfirmed news, take the date with a grain of salt.
That being said, Steam Database correctly leaked 21 June 2018 as a start date for the last year's Summer Sale, which suggests that the latest leak could be legit.
Steam are yet to confirm the start and end dates but they have teased the sale on a couple of occasions. First, they mentioned that cards won't be available in the upcoming sale as they want to mix things up a bit.
"The Steam Summer sale is just around the corner! We're going to try something different with the event this year. While there will still be an event and rewards, we won't be featuring special trading cards, or any mysterious cards in the lead-up to the sale," it's written in the announcement.
They also rewarded players who purchased their VR device - Valve Index - with a ton of Sale points hinting at the imminent sale. The official confirmation of the start date is probably coming in the next few days as the sale is only five days away.
Looking at the last year's sale, we got two weeks of discounts and it's safe to assume that this year it won't be different. Steam Sales usually offer lower prices for various games from all genres so if you filled your Wishlist with new titles, now is the chance to grab them at half the price, or even bigger discount.
Thanks, Steam Database.
