Riot Games have posted a teaser trailer for Qiyana, quickly followed by ability reveal trailer that also showcased some of her personality that may just give Draven a run for his money. She is an assassin that interacts with the map.
Riot Games are ramping up their new release schedule over the summer since they are aiming to capture as much audience as possible during the summer break. For that reason, we already have a Mordekaiser rework that is bound for patch 9.12 and Qiyana will follow soon after.
The tiny empress has an attitude that can rival Draven himself when it comes to arrogance and even features a Game of Thrones reference when she talks about bending knees. In hindsight, that may not have been a great idea given the infamy of the show's final season.
Anyway, Qiyana's passive is called Royal Privilege and it causes her auto attacks to deal bonus damage to champions on first hit. It has a per-champion cooldown that is displayed the same way as Udyr's stun.
Edge of Ixtal is the first active ability that sends her glorified hula hoop flying and if it connects with a champion, it will deal damage. On top of that, the ability will root champions, deal damage based on missing health to enemies or provide a brush trail that gives Qiyana movement speed and stealth, depending on whether she is channelling the river, a wall or a brush, respectively.
That may have sounded confusing but Terrashape, the next active ability explains it pretty well. Qiyana can use it to dash to a surface and channel a certain element, depending on where she lands. Thus, she gains the river, wall or brush bonuses.
Audacity is a pretty straightforward gap closer or escape tool that sends the champion dashing in a fixed direction.
Supreme Display of Talent is Qiyana's ultimate that will interact with the terrain it comes in contact with. The base function of the ulti is that she will send a wave that knocks a target back and deals damage. It will be amplified by the three elements if it passes through any of them, exploding and stunning the affected enemies.
