According to the latest details that were accidentally shared on the official E3 2019 website, Marvel's Avengers game will have four player co-op and single player. Furthermore, players will be able to customise their characters and more.
Square Enix's and Crystal Dynamics' Avengers project that's officially named Marvel's Avengers will be very similar to Destiny 2 according to the latest details that were accidentally shared and then removed from E3 2019 website.
The details were shared in the official description of Marvel's Avengers Showcase that will run from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM PT on Tuesday, 11 June 2019. Folks from PC Gamer were quick enough to grab the full description before it was removed.
Apparently, Marvel's Avengers will be "a defining Avengers gaming experience". It's an action-adventure game that will combine "cinematic storytelling" with continuous "single-player and co-operative gameplay".
Furthermore, Marvel's Avengers will let you assemble in teams up to four players and customise your heroes to fit your playstyle. Also, you'll get to master "extraordinary abilities" and combine powers to defend "an ever-expanding world under constant threat."
This is definitely a lot more information than we got from Square Enix in the last two years. Until today, the only official info was that the game is action-adventure named Marvel's Avengers. Also, the details could be true since the description has been quickly removed from the website as Square Enix probably feel that this was too much info to reveal at this time.
The info also aligns with some earlier leaks that revealed boss battles, cover mechanics, melee combat and some stealth sections but just like any leak or rumour, take this with a grain of salt.
Marvel's Avengers will be fully revealed at E3 2019 on Square Enix's show that will take place on 10 June 2019, 6:00 PM PT / 3:00 AM CET.
The game is developed by the creators of new Tomb Raider series - Crystal Dynamics and it should launch on next-gen consoles and PC, sometime in the second part of 2020.
