According to the latest leak that appeared on ResetEra, Gears 5 will have the biggest and most beautiful Gears world yet. The leak also revealed that the game will support local and online co-op as well as PvP multiplayer, as expected.
Weeks before the world's biggest gaming expo E3 are always flooded with rumours and leaks about games that will make an appearance on the show and that have a lot of new and juicy details to reveal.
The fifth major instalment in Gears of War series - Gears 5 - is one of these games. Developer The Coalition and Microsoft are expected to reveal many details including release date and also show some gameplay footage for the first time ever.
Some of these details have been revealed in the latest leak that appeared on ResetEra forum. The leak includes product information of Gears 5, which is probably used as an official description of the game and possibly in some of its marketing promotions.
It's doesn't feature much but it includes some info that gives us a clearer picture of what to expect from the upcoming title and its story.
"The world is crumbling. Humanity’s reliance on technology has become their downfall and enemies are uniting to wipe out all survivors. As Kait you must journey across the biggest, most beautiful Gears world to uncover the origins of the Locust, and fight with your squad to protect what’s left," it's written in the plot synopsis that was leaked.
Furthermore, the leak reveals that Gears 5 will feature online and local co-op as well as PvP multiplayer, just like previous games in the series, which was expected.
The description also states that Gears 5 will run in 60 FPS in 4K resolution on Xbox One with HDR support. Cross-play between PC and Xbox One will also be available.
While this leak looks pretty legit and gives us info on features that are expected to be included in the game, take it with a grain of salt just like any other leak or unofficial news.
