Playground Games have another batch of free content ready to arrive this week to Forza Horizon 4. In Update 9, players will get one new supercar, new Horizon story, game mode named Custom Adventure, season events, trials and more.
Forza Horizon 4 is set to receive another major free update this week it's been officially announced by the developer Playground Games. In Update 9, Forza Horizon 4 will introduce new cars, story, events, trials and much more.
The highlight of the update is certainly the new game mode named Custom Adventure. Series 9 now includes an option for players to create the race series of their choice and then matchmake with other Forza Horizon 4 players.
In the Custom Adventure option, which can be accessed from the Quickplay Adventure tab, you can set up adventures on Road, Dirt, Cross Country, Street or all racing event types with cars from B class to S2 class.
Players will also have an option to toggle on or off Freeroam Rush and Collisions. Once you set up your game, you can enter public sessions and connect with players looking for the same kind of match. Also, keep in mind that Custom Adventure mode is not available in ranked play.
The new story named The Car Files adds 10 chapters of gameplay and the ability to unlock the Crash Test Dummy morph suit. The description of the story states that "Automotive consultant Hans Liebold is looking for a business partner to help prove or disprove a range of peculiar insurance claims".
Forza Horizon 4 Update 9 also adds some amazing reward cars. These include new mini models and 2018 MINI John Cooper Works Convertible is one of them. 2018 Apollo Intensa Emozione is the new supercar which you can get once you finish the Spring Trial.
And last but not least, this update also adds two new features designed to reduce griefing behaviour and wall-riding in both Ranked and Quickplay. Those who use walls to gain an unfair advantage will have a slowdown applied to their cars for a short period of time and the new system will ghost players when a high difference in speed is detected, to avoid high-speed crashes.
