Assassin's Creed Ragnarok is the full name of the next game in the action-adventure series, according to the latest leak. Ragnarok will emphasize exploration and it will include multiple regions - Great Britain and Scandinavian countries.

According to the latest leak from 4Chan, which was shared on Reset Era forum, the next Assassin's Creed game will be Viking-themed as previously speculated. The game's codename is Kingdom but the leaker claims the full name will be Assassin's Creed Ragnarok.

The game is set in roughly 845AD in several kingdoms encompassing all of Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. These kingdoms will be split into regions that can hold settlements, which will have some customization and in-game economy systems.

Ragnarok puts the players in the boots of an ally of Ragnar Lodbrok who aids in the formation of the Great Heathen Army. Eventually, the player becomes an assassin with a hidden blade. Apparently, Ubisoft decided to tone down the first civilisation lore a little bit, but players will still get to search for a vault and Mjolnir, which is, as you may know, the hammer of Thor.

Furthermore, large scale conquest battles will make a return and just like in Odyssey, you can use them to weaken enemy hold on regions in some parts of the story. Also, RPG mechanics, eagle and ship combat will return, but the latter will be toned down to emphasize the exploration.

Speaking about exploration, Ragnarok's map won't be filled with question marks, making players explore and travel around the map for better loot, similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Co-op is another returning feature and according to the leak, it can be used in most side quests and map exploration.

There's a much larger emphasis on various builds and armour usage and players will have the ability to change outfits on the fly, which apparently, can speed up or slow down notoriety you build up in different kingdoms and stop Sheriffs coming after you. Sheriffs are probably a similar system to Mercenaries.

And last but not least, the game is mainly developed by Ubisoft Montreal, it's directed by Ashraf Ismail and the Narrative Director is Darby McDevvit. Ubisoft Sofia are assisting on a project but are also planning on creating a DLC set in Iceland, featuring Yggdrasil and travel across the nine realms.
